Staff Representative Middle/Senior School (2)

The role of the Council is to provide a strategic direction in conjunction with the Principal, taking into account the needs and expectations of the school community. The Council has been structured so that each person elected will be expected to take on an Executive or Convenor role. The commitment for a Convenor of a sub-committee will involve attendance at the monthly Governing Council meeting and convening and chairing a monthly meeting of the relevant sub committee. Each Convenor will be expected to table a monthly report from their sub-committee to Council. Recommendations for Council approval will come through the sub-committee structure. Ideally each sub-committee will support the Convenor with a minute-taker.

The roles of the sub-committees will be strengthened and there will be an increased ability for parents to involve themselves in areas of interest. Any parent from the community is welcome to join one or more of the sub-committees if they wish to become an active participant in the decision-making an management structure of the school.
